The International Association for Educational Assessment suggests a worldwide forum for all those who participate in all forms of educational assessment in primary or secondary schools, colleges or the workplaces.
Examining bodies, university departments, research organizations, and government agencies from more than 50 countries in all continents are its members. The main purpose of the IAEA is to support educational agencies in the development and appropriate application of educational assessment techniques to improve the quality of education.
The IAEA considers that the best way for it to try to promote progress through international cooperation and to develop close ties among corresponding agencies and individuals around the world.
The IAEA considers that such international cooperation can help nations learn from each other without any decrease in their cultural autonomy.
